• I'm coming back for a short time to release free open source game modes and addons.

I started playing this game when it was Garrysmod 9. Learned lua, modeling, simple map editing etc.... Since then have moved onto java, python, then C++. I'v decided to come back and give back to the community that brought me to where I am today. Just letting ya'll know. Someone give me some complicated game mode and or addon ideas.
A round based game-mode where the players all vote on the type of game and the rules it will be for the next round: Match Type: Death Match, Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, Cat and Mouse, Collect melons, capture an NPC, grav-gun soccer, ect. Weaponry (Available options could change based on the match type): Rocket launchers only, grenades only, crowbars only, pistols only, kamikaze only, ect. Modifiers: Double health, Double Jump, Super Speed, Flying, ect. On top of voting there could be randomly selected modifiers/additions or it could even be completely random based! The ultimate goal would be to make a gamemode that would be vastly flexible and could change every round to an entirely new type of game. With it being open source it, tons of people could submit their own modes, weapons, modifiers, and what not. All this would require that the base gamemode is very well written and incredibly modular so that it can support wildly diverse modifiers.
A public jailbreak game mode that has last request that is easy to configure and has a nice ui and markers that wardens can place down. Also a new pointshop base to work of would be nice since the original and pointshop 2 or kinda annoying to work with plus both have horrible guis

Well, i have this idea from a long time ago: Massive Coop gamemode with classes based on old games. Since there are oldschool weapons in the workshop (From games like Unreal and Quake) it would be easy to remake i guess Each class has its own Perks system (Ex: Quake class recieves no damage from Rocketjumps, CSS Class has discounts on weapon buys) It has a shop system where the player can buy ammo and other stuff to help him trough the maps Has mapchange support and OC/Synergy coop maps support. That's basically my idea, if you need permissions with certain authors i can gather them.

A RPG gamemode that isn't a grind fest, and has a legitimate story. The overall objective is to hack Valve and release Source 2 Engine! I'm not sure if this makes sense, but something along the lines would be flawless!

make garry implement multicore rendering or better yet do it yourself
a gamemode similar to DM or TDM in which every shot you get is felt basically you're playing with the camera on your playermodel's head and a gun in your hand and if you're shot in your hand you flinch and the entire arm goes limp if your legs are shot you fall down and crawl forward etc a headshot is instant death of course

Make another roleplaying gamemode! Just kidding, I like that final fantasy idea actually mentioned earlier in this thread.

Make a contraption saver that saves everyone's contraptions on the map every x minutes and pastes the last backup in case of server crash or shutdown/restart. Make it compatible with current prop protection systems and make it load with the associated owners attached to their props.
Properly predicted cars so we don't have to wait for our key inputs to be registered on the server and horses :o
I wan't an addon that lets you create a faction that remembers who you are. !faction will bring up a menu of factions you wan't to join. Faction will let you see your friends across the map and add in my stats a faction section showing the most kills/deaths of what that faction has. But only thing is I don't want it to show where one of your faction members are if they are on the opposite team. This would be so FREAKING USEFUL AND FUN
