• What happened to spacebuild?

I mean.. we had working life support, working props, so much tools that we could dock and create big ships to dock with smaller ones. I mean.. what happened to it? I miss that part of it.. and now its just fucking hover balls, resources, and done. Your in space.
It's like the way it started out. It's a new begging with Garry's Mod 13 and almost everything that's code is broke. There's allot of people who get tired after coding for awhile and don't move onto the next chapter, thus all the unfinished projects for Garry's Mod. Spacebuild in this case is probably not going to let us down like that, seeing what they already have going now in the new Garry's Mod (or at least the beta). Supposedly Spacebuild 4 is being worked on but I wouldn't count on that. Just wait and see what they'll do. I know I could probably code my own Spacebuild, but that wouldn't be until awhile.
Just wait, we'll get alternatives. (Horizon will be cool I guess.)

SB4 is being worked, I believe SB2 works with Gm13 and Sb3 is being updated, if it doesn't already work with 13. Sb4 is definitely being worked on, check the github.
Um. Yeah. Try this on for size http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=104484308&tscn=1351960971
I always found environments to be a much more awesome take on spacebuild than sb2, or even sb3 for that matter. The whole 'artificial environment' actually works really well and gives another take on building bases. No more covering an area in air/heat exchangers and then just building a base there, instead you have to use your suits resources while building up a quick base that you can then give a breathable atmosphere so you don't have to run back to your suit dispenser all of the time. Only negative I can find is that environments doesn't have as many different resources and devices for using those resources.
I find spacebuild > environments because of the complexity, it adds more realism with life support and resource distribution. However, I am currently trying to fix the bugs in sb3 myself because when I click on a sb tool it completely fucks over all my tools and weapons. I can't do anything but "use". Any ideas on that btw? Other than that most of the fixes for sb3 are quite simple if you ask me.
If it ever gets done. The thread hasn't been posted in, in ages.
I've begun releasing development snapshots. Check the thread for more info. You can download the first snapshot here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/62115676/hzn_dev_0.1.0.zip I will continue to release snapshots as development progresses.

Well, at least we have Horizon for now, but I'd love to see the Spacebuild tradition continue.
