I developed this a bit for llama awhile back, but i quit fairly quickly because the previous coder did a terrible job and i didn't want to deal with it.
Many people bought this gamemode for a lot of money, and you are distributing it to all who came! Creator abandoned it.

Well, if you look kindly into the code it is mine :) 80% of the code has been changed as it would not even work.
So what your doing right now is just being stupid,
But tho i really dont care anymore :), i started working into serious bussines, so all of you guys grab a copy :) Blow the server Browser, and let me see my hard work float, and make me look famous....

I worked with Llama probably 2 years back on this fixing up and adding some things.
OP, you were silly to buy it, i would have given you a copy free of charge. But it is great of you to fix it up and release it. Very admirable of you indeed.
As i helped work on it. And Llama is a friend. You have full permission to release this free of charge as it is great of you to fix it and offer it free to all. At least this will hopefully stop people getting a broken copy and selling it on at a cost....

If you take Llama's gmod 12 code i think you will find that most of the code is the same if not identical. And as far as i know this was never a private gamemode. The only thing that looks like you changed was the faction menu (Looks like a piece of shit.)

welp I worked on this gamemode for about a week before I gave up, it is literally the worst coded pile of shit I've ever seen. The whole thing is plagued by memory leaks, unexplained crashes and massively bloated and inefficient code. So basically I've been making my own basewars gamemode pretty much entirely from scratch, It's about 60% done as of the now.

This is the funniest thread I've ever read. Basewars is shit tier gamemode I hacked together with tons of stolen or copy pasted scripts to make a Dark RP with turrets gamemode when I was 12 and handicapped.
For final clarification: This is a gamemode by HLYX created from a copy of DarkRP in 2007 for a community called WCA Planet and was called RPDM.
Me and my stepbrother began a community after getting permabanned from WCA Planet's RPDM server. I found a leaked version of this gamemode on garrysmod.org ([url]www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=88249‎[/url])
I begin taking content from others or hiring coders to add in various additions to the gamemode for example Stranded 2012 Faction System and it became Basewars.
I then released it in 2012 because I had been getting attacked for 6 months straight and my server didn't look like it was ever coming back up.
After various attempts at trying to revive my long dead community I finally gave up after realizing Garry's Mod's player base is the worst it's ever been.
Many coders claim that their new version of "Basewars" is completely recoded by them but I have decrypted the lua cache of their client-side/shared files and found what originally belonged in the old script.

lol I legit deleted everything and started from scratch, the only code that is shared between mine and the original is the shitty gmstranded faction system and an edited version of the original lmaollama hud (I'll be replacing both once i get good and code my own)
