This is a little something I came up with this morning. C&C please. This is my first time experimenting with blood.

Note the less crappy blood, increased amount of rangers, addition of enemy gunner, and motion blur. Face of male_07 may be a little weird...
I couldn't get the yelling expression I wanted. Limitations or something...
Tone down the Bloom
Yeah. I agree. I could have done things a little differently, like add a few more rangers (turn down the bloom), and I could have added explosions.
Needs a little work, but pretty good. The one thing that bugs me is the screaming guy's face.

I know. Curse me for using the default "Can't Believe It" face.
Looks good. With the stuff you pointed out, it could turn out pretty sweet.
Haven't seen these models being used in a long time.

Thanks. By the way, how did the blood turn out?

I don't think I've seen anything with these models.
guy at the bottom looks pretty excited
Looks like the rangers from Company of Heroes but with citizen heads, cool.
Blood.
Too much bloom, everything is really desaturated/black and white yet the blood is red, blood sucks.
The posing sure is nice though, but what exactly is that guy doing just standing there? I'm assuming that given everyone else has hit the deck and looks alerted that they're in a battle, so was he suppose to be running? If he was it sure looks unconvincing.
Blood.
What the fuck?

He got up to make a dash for cover, but got mowed down. These things tend to happen in a meat-grinder.

Gesundheit.

While that explains why the blood is terrible it doesn't excuse it. Blood comes from EXITS, not ENTRIES. Blood also doesn't automatically come out in a fine mist like a garden hose.
Fuck, I'd write some kind of essay on how not to fuck blood up but I just cannot be fucking bothered tonight :suicide:

Alright. I shall do revised version, with less shit blood.
:v:
Hey guys, new version.
It looks a little better, could perhaps use some work still. If you really want to get blood right, talk to Loen (and make sure you have a strong stomach).
Your second picture needs more special effects (explosions, tracers etc.) to truly convey the terror I'd imagine on Omaha Beach.
True, not every inch of sand was littered with bodies, blood, guts and explosions but you're conveying an image and visually representing something like Omaha. It requires a lot more 'oomph' to the picture, usually.
In general I don't think they're that bad. Posing wise, it's pretty decent. Nothing ridiculously horrifying and the editing is ok as well. Blood editing could use some work as many have said but in general it's not that bad. It's a solid, average representation of D-Day and that isn't a bad thing since that's probably your intention anyway.
Just a question, rate me a box if you wish, but where did you get those models?

I don't think I should rate you box, seeing as how the thread no longer appears in releases for some reason...
