^That's not a very well made detail. Personally, I am always adding details to the clothes by making hi res skins for them. Like in my nam picture.

The fabric looks really weird, like just an overlay.

Your vietnam soldier "hi-res" skins don't look good at all though. You just made it look like their clothes have some really weird dotted pattern on them.
