For those who might have heard of me: yup, I still make comics, even with the machinima craze going on. I actually started work on this a year ago before I put it on the backburner for a while, then I got back to it a few months ago. I'd say it's my biggest endeavor yet, but I'll leave it up to you to decide if it's the best - or any good, at that rate.

Please reply telling me if you've enjoyed it, plus any constructive criticism you might have, and whether you'd like more chapters of the life of Odessa Cubbage's son. Also, I have a new blog for Valve and GMod stuff that you might want to check out.
This is awesome, a bit like "Concerned" but with a different spin. Equally well, if not better, in quality.

I think it would be absolutely wonderful if you continued this, I'd definitely want to read it.
I just knew odessa was cooler than you all thought.
I knew it, I loved him ever since I laid eyes on that luscious facial hair of his.
I want more MORE I WANT MORE

No, I'M usaokay, and I approve this thread.
Holy moses, it's like reading one of those awesome 2007 comics, back when comics had effort and genious put into them!
Excellent comic man, really hope you will continue making them!!
Oh dear god yes. More.
This is awesome!
Very nice. Digging the mustache.
awww yeah, i was looking forward for this, great work, mythos!
Awesome
Enjoyed reading that, and would like to see another issue.
Wow, that's some good reception. Thanks, guys, I appreciate it! I'll try to get the second issue done ASAP, although I don't usually rush these things, so it might still take a little while. Please be patient.
Also, not to be a self-promoter or anything, but for those who like the comic, please do post a reply to keep the thread active, otherwise it'll soon be lost in the second page. Not to say I want everyone to keep bumping this thread just because, but it's one way of helping others read it, if you want to.
i dig
Really though, this brings back so much memory, back when anybody who could make a decent comic with correct font was considered a god.
Wow awesome, not often we get to see comics of this standard anymore.
Can't wait for the next installment.
Fuck that was good.
I DEMAND MORE.
Saving the pictures now for if this disappears like the other good comics, that way I will treasure it always.

I hope you don't mind if I make a PDF out of them for my reading benefits on my phone.
I hope you don't mind if I make a PDF out of them for my reading benefits on my phone.
Funny you should say that, a year ago I had this craze for turning my comics into PDFs and uploading them online, which wasn't really well received. I'd really be very flattered if you did it.
Not bad, although judging by the title I thoguht it was going to be a Gmod parody of Poirot, with Cubbage in place of Poirot. Anyone ever watch that show of 30's crime drama with the investigational talents of Hercule Poirot? Or for that matter read the books?
Regardless of Agatha Christie, I kinda liked that comic.
Whoa man! This was fucking awesome!
For a long time here hasn't been any good comic.
Subscribing!
Waiting for more.
Sorry, but i found a little mistake :(
hope u need this forward

No no no, pay him no heed. It's just the third hero with facial hair. It makes perfect sense.
Hey hey hey, this great shit can't go down!
sorry but BUMP!
1 day isn't exactly a bump, but you're still right. :v:
1 day isn't exactly a bump, but you're still right. :v:
Yeah but it was at bottom of page, if i wouldnt do that, it would be gone to next page, then to next, then to next and it's gone :C
is this the keith lemon movie
Yeah but it was at bottom of page, if i wouldnt do that, it would be gone to next page, then to next, then to next and it's gone :C
Thanks, mate, I really appreciate that. I mean it, it makes me very happy that people enjoy my comic enough to want it to stay visible. Frankly, considering what I know of Facepunch, I'm happy enough that this is holding a fight, in replies and somewhat in views, against a picture made by a twelve-years-old of a CP officer "ramming" a citizen. I finally made it big, Ma!
Anyway, I don't really expect this to stay afloat for much longer, but, jokes aside, I honestly couldn't be happier with the reception to the first chapter of The Adventures of Hercule Cubbage. After four days, it's close to reaching 700 views, it's still got plenty of activity and really nice people trying to keep it that way, and an amazing number of "Winner" ratings for the comic - 37 so far! I felt good with the comic I'd made, but I never counted on so much friendliness and support. So, even if this thread doesn't last for much longer, I want to thank everyone who took the time to read the comic, especially the ones who rated and/or replied. Believe me, it's very much appreciated!
As for chapter two, it might take a while - particularly because my life is going to get pretty hectic in two weeks and only give me a real break in January, which means that, if things go awry, it might take until 2013 for a continuation -, but I promise it will come, and I'll try to make it as good, if not better, as the introductory chapter. You guys have earned my efforts to do so. And, as always, any occasional updates might be found at the fresh new HL2-oriented blog, so feel free to subscribe through RSS or that tiny "Follow" button at the bottom of the page for those updates or any cool stuff I might find related to comics or Half-Life.
Love you guys, you made the time and effort worthwhile.
The editing's very tight. It reminds me a lot of Apostasy, though the content is more in line of a deadpan comedy, which works well for it.
Nice work mythos, glad to see there are still old comic makers out there keeping the dream alive.
