I'm new to posing. I intended it to be way more foggy - is there any way to get fog in the foreground with the fog effect in gmod? When I use Fog it's all in the background and skybox as you can see. Based on the BC2 opening.
Wow, those CPs are both blind and deaf. Poor souls.

There is literally not a single way they would go undetected. Hell even if it was pitch black with no light sources, you would still hear the lapping of the waves against the boat, the stress groans of the hull as they move inside it, and their breathing. You'd even smell them at that range. This is not even taking into consideration that sound travels farther and is far clearer at night... [editline]26th January 2011[/editline] BC2 was as ridiculous with that as you have been here, granted, but it's not much of an excuse
Fair enough.
someone who doesn't feel the need to argue? :toot: i like you. pretty much if you are in the 180-degree arc that is someone's front, you will be seen unless there is some seriously overriding shit (dense fog so you can't see them either, really awesome shadow, good concealment like a ghillie in a sea of undergrowth, stuff like that) within maybe a 25-50 metre radius. past that you might get away with it if it's really dark out, but it's not until like 3-400m you're really getting any concealment value in there. peripheral vision accounts for a lot, and since it's tuned to spot movement, that's a big factor too. then there's sound. on a clear night in a relatively quiet area (say, a farm or some bumfuck country village, or a city with a curfew on it) you could probably hear a pin drop onto concrete from at least 10 metres away. you can hear whispering to about the same, often further (even if you can't distinguish the words). people really don't give the human ear enough credit. smell... yeah. like sound this one depends a lot on the wind too, if it's in their favour and not yours they may hear and/or smell you while you're still a hundred metres out.

(Yes, I know that's not the point but I think it should be said)
