Security Guards in high-security banks tend to be armed with MP5s and/or Uzis in the states
hence, he has an Uzi

they're cheap as fuck, and also easy to obtain
also the fact that the L4D Uzi is the perfect size whereas I'd have to prop-resize any good MP5s because I'm a lazy fuck

Not especially. Commando weapon for the Israeli army not long too long ago. But yeah, it's not a great weapon, or so I have read - it's far too heavy for its purpose apparently.
