Sorry if you can see any crappy jpeg compression - it was not set to 100 in game because Garry's Mod hates me.
C&C and all that jazz, please!
Looks realy god nice editing.

Its hard to believe some of these pics are done in gmod, they just look too good.
Awesome job dude.
Damn I'm waiting so bad for Crysis 2.
The picture is great except for the fire, is a bit too opaque.
Go easy on the burning, jeez. In broad daylight, next to a fire no shadow would be that dark.
The fire looks a bit too low-res.

Do you have any idea what artistic is? Your constantly being negative when people just want they're pictures to look cool!
I haven't said the picture doesn't look cool, in fact, it looks very cool.
The shadows are a bit heavy, that's all

When you mention nothing BUT the negative you look like you hate the picture, try and balance your replies! :clint:
Maybe you're right :crossarms:

D'aw. Thats ok man
The fire looks a bit too low-res.
It's a 1024x768 reference picture made smaller. The resolution is fine. Perhaps what you are seeing is the depth-of-field and/or motion-blur.

I disagree. I exaggerated a little, but I think you'll find that a lot of shadows are very dark indeed in strong sunlight, darker than they would be if it was, say, an overcast day, especially if the shadows are being cast onto dark material like this nanosuit here.
Here is some proof:

Those are all in a desert-y area, imagine being in a city. There would by stuff reflecting the sun-light and stuff like that.
Still good picture though, have an artistic.

:what:
Hate to say it, but you really could have done a lot better with this one Chesty. For the most part the lighting looks nice (though like Zerax said, it does look a bit dark) but everything else looks rushed. The fire looks way too dark, and doesn't illuminate anything (making it look really pasted on) the motion blurring on his arm and gun doesn't effect his silhouette, giving it a sharp, bad looking edge, the cracks in the glass don't seem to match the perspective on the window, and even the muzzleflash looks kinda wonky.
However, the biggest problem with the pic is the total lack of atmosphere. Apart from a bit of desaturation and a tiny bit of fog in the back, you barely changed a thing. The Castro had a better idea of what this picture's atmosphere could have been like, bleak, blue, and wartorn. Yours is way too colorful and hardly shows any signs of large scale battle.

EDIT -
And you didn't even give him a shadow on the car! For shame, doc...

Thanks for the critique. I couldn't care less if one is entirely negative, but the fact someone takes time out to write something detailed and useful is more than enough for me. The nit-picking comments mentioning a single negative feature and nothing else are the ones that irritate me.

Btw here is a picture in a non-desert environment:

Sorry it doesn't convey well in this text only format.
Regardless I'm not one to take advice from a Nazi.
My Filesmelt link is broken, so here is a Tinypic link.

He already has your edit posted...
But the link still doesn't work, because it's from Filesmelt, so that is a new one.
omg, i know the fire your using
looks pretty good but you've done better
muzzleflash for example
Contrary to you, Hellfire, I'm really feelin' this muzzleflash.
Imo, one of your best.
that's cool!
Neat lighting/shading, but that fire is too dark, imo.

Thanks! I know what you mean now that I look at it. That's because of the smoke over it though, not because the layer itself is dark... hm I probably shouldn't have put a smoke layer over it.
