This screenie is pure bliss, except for one tiny detail. The four L4D survivors (eight if we include the new guys and gal from the sequel) are naturally immune to Green Flu. They wouldn't need a vaccine.

My guess is as a precaution so those who are not immune can be near them.
On another note I think this would have made more sense with the L4D2 survivors, since three of the first survivors were headed to the Florida Keys, and the second four headed for a military outpost.
