I know it's customary to add some music to compliment your image, but I can't find anything that conveys what I want the image to convey. I decided to try my hand at this after playing too much World of Tanks and getting this idea in my hand. This is completely out of my comfort zone and even posting this has me slightly worried about the responses. The scene was just a DoD Tiger, some skybox plane models, and some trees that you can't really see anymore because I covered them up post-process (they looked bad anyways). The explosion and smoke effects, both of which I'm not entirely sure about, were added post-process. Other adjustments and some cross-processing were done, all in Paint.NET.
Overall, I think I did alright. I don't have the biggest monitor in the world so the image was much smaller than you're all probably used to. I also don't have a massive library of stock images for explosions and such, so getting that to even look like it does was a pain. I also see now that there is some really bad aliasing on the tank gun, so I might have to go back and touch that up. If I had to do it all over again, I'd probably add more tanks to the left or right of the main tank, back the camera off a ways, and maybe add some foot soldiers or tank traps or something. Anyways, constructive criticism, comments, grunts, insults, or death threats are all welcome, but try to go easy on me at least.
could use some anti-aliasing and higher quality textures but overall it's good
the muzzle flash effect could look more impressive but i actually like it in all its simplicity
