[editline]t[/editline] I fixed a few nags, should look better now. "An artist is only truly so once they have fully embraced the dull hum of reality, and learned to hear its hidden music." -Unknown Fancy quote aside, this was a lot of things. A study in natural arrangement of mundane objects to better myself at scenebuilding, a test of new lighting and shadow techniques, and a test of a new way to make computer screens look a bit less fullbright and more like, well, cheap computer screens. Basically, I'm putting my nose to the grindstone in an attempt to really get overall realism down to as much of a science as I can. It's a little hit or miss, but to say the least I have a new wallpaper for a bit. Big thanks to Steventechno and The One Free-Man for many of the props used. Check their collections out in the workshop why don't you. C&C is always appreciated. I live to improve.
Looks sort of like my desk setup, sans a second monitor. Good work man!
This is really nice.
You sure you didn't take a picture of your desk? Just kidding, this is great.
Wow, this looks incredible. Was there any post production worked used in this one? It looks incredibly realistic. Some future considerations -The ceiling tiles aren't arranged properly. I'm assuming you built this on cs_office, but for this it might have suited you better to either find another corner with a correctly aligned cieling, or to just have built your map for this scene -The water bottle seems to emitting light from bloom. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this shouldn't be the case unless the light is behind the bottle and shining through towards the eye.
Those are some thick cables!

I also used an effect I call LCD Aberration, in which screens become discolored at an angle. And no, it's actually gm_citylimits. Office has terrible ambient lighting. The ceiling tiles were a small nag while making this but it looked worse when covered up, so I just left it. I'll fix the bottle though.
Those are some thick cables!
Any idea how to make ropes thinner than that?
You sure you didn't take a picture of your desk?
Was thinking the same thing, right up until I noticed the trashcan.
this this is good
I got a feeling you blurred a white dot on the picture frames :v:
Apart from the overdone bright spots on the edge of the pics and the lappy, I quite like this. Your typical home office environment:smile:
It's supposed to look like the reflection of a camera flash. Might be a little overbright though I guess.
