This is the first picture I've ever done (posing, etc). Ill gladly accept any tips.... I'm new to making good screenshots, posing, etc. And if you want to know what the hell they are sitting on: http://i56.tinypic.com/2lswe8z.jpg
That Bad? *frowns*
Seen worse. At least the idea is decent... You've got a lot to improve though. Lurk the section for a while, analyse good looking stuff, try to replicate the posing and techniques.
in the bloom option try to set the bloom color to 0.00. Try using the anti-aliasing option. That way you can get rid off the jaggies that are on the hill, the train, and the rebels. Also try taking a few steps back with the camera and then holding right click with the camera and moving your mouse so you can zoom in, that way you can capture the rebels and the sunset more. You see, overall, if you step from the back, the biggest part of the picture has the sky, and the trains in it. But you're trying to capture the rebels as the main part of the screen and the fact that the sun is setting so what you could do is cut 1/5th of the top part of the screen and cut 1/5th of the bottom part. Also try using the super Dof option to give a blurry effect In addition to that, try placing various objects in the far background to make the empty space not look bland. I tried recreating your image to kinda summarize what i'm trying to say:

Don't forget to type in jpeg_quality 100 in the console before you take the pic. [editline]23rd April 2011[/editline] Also, scenebuild! You could easily make that empty spot in the distance into a nice-looking enviroment with some plants and stuff.
Pretty much what Crazy Knife said.
