Well here is a few pointers I give most new guys.
The mirror method: Look at your pose in the mirror see if it looks correct.
Quality over quantity: I honestly scrap whole poses I worked on for hours because it doesn't meet my standards let alone the forums.
Not all of us are gods off the start: It's taken me 3 whole years to get where I am.(3 years posing last november whoo)
PRACTICE!!!!!: find someone who is good [b]AND CAN ACTUALLY CRITICIZE WORK INSTEAD OF JUST INSTANTLY POOING IT[/b]cough.

This shit is so awesome it can fucking cure cancer. Just ten seconds from gazing at this masterpiece of art I suddenly felt much better and now I feel like I can bench-press a goddamn semi truck. The feeble old guy who was walking by when I glanced at this suddenly looked about forty years younger and had his pancreatic cancer instantly cured on the spot because he merely glanced at this masterpiece.
