Guys just let it glow and make crazy knife dodge brush us to death in this cold dark night

The year's 2042, the entire human species is gone and all that is left is a series of ancient relics of mysterious value for the combine to discover in an abandoned storage in Northern Carolina.

Guess the map (it's not gm_construct)
EVERYTHING MUST GLOW. LENS FLARES RARRR
I like the colours though.
Rim-lighting on the brass/iron objects to the right makes no sense.
But yeh I love the colours a lot and the lighting is really nice and warm overall.
gm_construct?

I didn't use any lense flares. You mean the golden glow on the candlesticks?
And nope, not construct :3

The golden glow's from the tv btw, idk how it doesn't make sense?

those colours from the combine helmets are called lens flares
it doesn't make sense because sharp rim-lighting doesn't occur from side angles like that, especially on very smooth objects such as metal - it occurs from behind as you have demonstrated nicely with the rim-lighting on the combine dudes

gm_construct's darkroom. I see the bricks.
Nonetheless, it's just wonderful

the bloody great glowing golden outline on the left of the brass objects like the candlestick holder

that's the part that's wrong? you're saying it's supposed to be less thick?
I think its not supposed to be there at all

you just like naked men don't you

I dig the golden light coming from the TV. The overall scene should be more orange (I overdone it but you get the idea), though, as the light looks very strong. Also the lens flares will seem out of place unless you create some glow in that area.
I agree with Chesty on the rimlighting, though. It also looks poorly done and imprecise.

I forgot to say that the picture looks damn fucking good.

I like your version more, what'd you do to add more of the bloom-like effect?
The rimlight doesn't make sense to me because I think it would be really dusty.
None the less it looks hellacool
Even if the rimlighting isn't meant to be on the candle things it looks sexy as hell. Do I spot some on the leaves, too? Goddamn.
CK, you own.

Ye, couldn't sleep so i went OCD on those leaves with a 3 pixel dodge tool for an hour.
I find the lens flares to be rather distracting. It might be just me though.
Otherwise, without reiterating the rimlighting "problems" over and over, I think this picture looks pretty awesome. Good feelings from it.

Just a simple orange brushwork set to screen blending mode. Great for making glow.
The middle soldier has crotchguard clipping issues.
Good image though.
Too much fucking eye glare, bro. Bad Crazy Knife.
Very good otherwise.
I really like how warm it feels
Gm_Flatgrass?, on the spawn it looks like

I'll give you guys a hint, the forklift to the right is part of the map
CS_assault?
CS_assault?
Yep, if it weren't for the forklift, would be hard to tell eh
I got to say yeah.
I didn't even see the forklift untill you pointed it out you sneaky guy, you.
I'm not saying this turned me on, but if the boner patrol's on duty, I demand a lawyer!
