Hey there, I have been making some Gmod screenshots as a bit of a hobby when I'm bored, but I'm also having some problems making screenshots look more high definition. I've made some good screenshots and and some bad screenshots, but I want to know how to make it look more official. What I'm asking for here is what is odd in my pictures and how to improve it like, certain camera angles, lighting etc. Thanks in advance for anyone who helped.

I am aware of editing in this pic and I am wondering on how to do such shading on an image editor? (Photoshop)
Personaly I use burn tool and brush with differend blending modes and opacities.
Sometimes it's easier just to fill the region you want to shade with black and then to choose the appropriate blending
The funny thing is that the best picture of yours is in the lousies (i mean mercs)
I don't quite understand the goal of making this thread, though

Sorry for the confusion, it's just that I want my images to feel more high definition like what DeniskaSo did in his image. Mine is pretty much more blur than nice lighting and smoothness. (Or I'm already doing that and going way over my head.)
maybe you should first try to play around with the ingame tools like lamps, before you start using photoshop and also slightly change the brightness or contrast. playing around with it sometimes results in nice outcomes, too.
For shadows, I use a simple brush: 3
