What should I improve on posing/editing wise?

Work on the rain a bit but the posing from what I can see is okay.

The rain does look quite flat but the models I believe are in the upper portion of those available.
Even though the models are awful, and they lack fingerposing, I can't help but feel that this is awesome.

I like the brightness of the models and the cartoony rain. The whole thing seems almost playful.

They do look like the action figures.
That'd be cool, a HALO Action Figure game, instead of being LEGO or Mega Blocks or whatever.

Looks like they're bro fisting.
And the shooping on the armor perms is okay at best. (Unless it isn't shopped. In which case the model looks awful.)

Looks pretty good, though the desert eagle looks kind out of place.
The impression I'm getting is a fight scene set up with action figures left out in the sandbox in the rain. I've seen that many times. Good times...anyway, you get props for making me feel nostalgic. The picture is quite nice too.

Also, am I the only one who thinks these are actually good models? I mean the skins are too bright, but besides the colors it looks like it's ported or something.

Firstly, I agree that the rain has no depth of field, and I'm going to assume that it is probably one of his first attempts at doing rain in Photoshop / Gimp and for a first attempt it's not bad. It's not the best, but it's certainly better than my first attempt.
Try using rain on different layers - one for foreground - raindrops should be bigger and blurred as they are close to the 'camera' - one for the middle of the picture which should be in focus and smaller droplets than the first layer - final layer for background - should be very crisp and very small droplets. Also, for some extra effect try doing some droplets splashing off the armor.
If there is no fingerposing one would logically assume the models do not have the fingerposing capability -- if this is not the case then it is down to laziness of the creator.
Also, you can't really critique the creator for the models being 'terrible' because he probably didn't make them.
Nearly all posing is generic -- if you want a plot or substance go to the comics section.

I wasn't going bat-shit at you, I was just giving my two cents and offering my criticisms of the screenshot - if you choose to take this as a personal attack on your person, well, that's your decision to make - but there was no malcontent behind my post.
