Felt like doing a Halo themed scene. Might make some more in the future. Comments & Criticism! I'd love to hear what you think! *Edited powerlines + Music*
Those telephone wires kinda bug me, especially since it'd be super easy to fix that in editing. Also the Spartans aren't lit very well.
I feel like this would have benefited from another light, still hot though.

It looks fine to me :o
I mean it looks fine, but it doesn't make much sense regarding the scene. It looks like they're outside but only getting a little bit of light.

The light is coming from the background (hence the darkness/shadows on the debris/buildings in the midground). The light from the background + sky would light up the back and sides of the Spartans, leaving the front slightly darker. Kind of like the effect sunsets have, creates a shadow type thing. That's what I was going for anyways! Haha
Yeah it looks fine, I do wish that there was a tad more light wrapping around the one on the left but that's just me. A few things, what debris are you using, where did you get the Reach weapons, and how did you make the sky look like that on black?
what debris are you using, where did you get the Reach weapons, and how did you make the sky look like that on black?
The debris I'm using is from the Half Life games and L4D 1 + 2, surprisingly. The Reach guns are from Workshop. As for the sky, just play around with the Dusk (Intensity + Range). It gives it that sunset feel, looks really nice on scenebuilds.
The lighting looks like it's coming from 2 distinct sources instead of one and the composition is bad. It's also pretty obvious you used the same building for 90% of the background.

As for criticism, I'd appreciate it if you were constructive, because saying "composition is bad" doesn't tell me anything on how to improve. Comes across to me as an asshole thing to say, considering I spent a fair amount of time on this. For the buildings, I used several different models but they all had that window sticking out. I really don't think it takes away from the overall image though, seeing how buildings are all comprised of concrete enforcement, metal rebar, windows etc etc. But youre right, I could have done it differently.
i think if you blurred the background a bit more it would look better. just a few more radials on the SDoF menu can make a huge difference i find
