You've got more than a few hallmarks right (smoke, etc) but the awkward posing of the guy on the right, the massive aliasing, central-view blurry textures and the iffy background editing and the absolute lack of color direction really spoil this image. I mean look at the tree, you could climb up that like a stepladder.
Hammer those things out and it'll be downright perfect.
The angle isn't very interesting.

Anyhow. Boring angle of 3 guys aiming at something. There is absolutely nothing going on here, sure the dude in the tank is firing at [b]SOMETHING[/b] but the muzzleflash is barely visible.

The smoke is fairly well edited, although why does it just suddenly fade? Smoke doesn't really disperse like that, ever.

Are you not seeing that the guys in the pic are UN peacekeepers? I'm pretty sure that's the reason why this pic is called "Battle for Peace".

the way the smoke plume just fades out almost makes it look like it goes through the upper atmosphere and right into space

Yes I did notice, war is still never going to achieve peace. One party will be offended and hold grudges either way. War only leads to more war.

Yea I agree with you, was just saying that them being peacekeepers is probably the reason why the pic was named "Battle for Peace" and not because the guy is ignorant.

dude on the far right (standing guy) looks about ready to fall over, should add a blood splatter, make it look like he was being shot, hence the awkward position.
