Disabling the phong and rimlight of these models seemed to work nicely
I guess
Plus I have practiced more with shading and effects like embers

Well done. I like this unobtrusive effects, including laser. Keep it up.
His head is tilted too far over IMO, try raising the gun up higher on his shoulder. Top half of his body is a lot darker than his lower half, kinda throws it off. Other than that though, I like it.
