• Tank + AT gun

Just some crap I was playing around with the other week, figured I would post some pictures of them up as I have nothing better to do haha Little moveable AT gun - rotatable with thrusters As well - A tank I made, was drivable without thrusters thanks to an invisable airboat, I managed to balance the weights and friction out so it could travel up steep slopes but was not stupidly fast on the straights Actual driving view
They both look alright but i'm not really sure i like the concept of putting a tank on top of an airboat. Have a look into parenting. Also, I'm not sure if you used any wiremod in this (or how you did the cannons) but i think you probably need to look up some good wire tutorials to make them better. Make the tank be able to aim up/down right/left. Maybe even mouseaim.
I do not do Wire, and for one very simple reason, I am a more old school Gmodder. I prefer the old style where you make what you want using valves props, if you want some big or detailed then you put more effort into finding the right props or whatever. The new way of doing it is making stuff to suite your needs which in a way makes building more functional things easier but also takes alot of the challenge out of playing
looks alrite, but the AT gun could use the color tool on the combine props on the back. They kinda make it look bad.

It just seems cheap to use an airboat. And using axis with friction and thrusters you could still make the turret move.
I take it you're one of those people who thinks Wiremod is destroying Garry's mod correct? Because if you are...
Well Wiremod does make things easier, but GMOD the old way was much more fun and ideal. Now you just watch a tutorial or learn yourself and make something the same as other people have made it. Back on Topic, Great job on keeping it simple.
I saw an angus thread and shat myself. Nice tank, very nice. I'm not sure about the AT gun though.

I'm actually ashamed by these 07'ers not knowing who Angus is... Nice work man but boats are your strong point!

Personally, I think your old stuff was better, but I like most anything you build. I tried to build a tank with custom props and just couldn't do it. It felt too fake. Anyway, rated artistic; don't succumb to the evil influences of the newer GModders.
Most of you are too young to remember Angus. He is GMod's official Amish builder. (Circa 2006)
