You couldn't fire a WWII machine gun without a crew member to assist you, thus he had to stop, and let the gun up.

Er, I've asked a lot of people about it, and TF2 blood has become the "official" blood effect now.
It's in recent Gmod videos, and many people are saying it's cool, many are saying it's lame.

6th picture the way the blood is on his face isn't splattered, it looks like it's applied. The crouch looks weird too and well as how he holds the gun like it's easily movable.

Yes you could. The crew member is there to reload and assist the belt feed into the weapon to prevent jamming as well as aid in set up and the movement of the weapon, often carrying the tripod.
So you could fire without the crew member, although there is a strong chance that if the weapon is belt-fed then there will be a jam.

Well, that's the problem here. The posing is quite horrible, indeed.
First two pictures reinforce my conviction.
Also, we have been giving constructive criticism (Though it looks like a bunch of the comments just say "bad posing", so I see what you're going at).

You can't be serious. This isn't realistic at all, that's, quite frankly, a lame excuse to compensate for the flaws of the image.
We never said anything about the logic of them charging into gunfire. We're talking about how totally unserious you've made the picture with your posing.
So, here are your errors, piece by piece.
Picture #1: None of the people in this image have a realistic posture at all. The guys getting shot look as though you simply randomly spread out the limbs with the physgun. Also, you can see the second picture in the background, something you should definitely avoid doing, ever.
Picture #2: The officer looks as though he has a spinal disorder, tuck that ass in. None of them are holding their guns right (or are fingerposed anywhere close to where they should be), they're staring into space, and they're really not doing much at all in this picture, becoming a waste of screenspace. The officer seems as though he'd be the only thing in this picture worthy of merit, but even he's severely flawed.
Picture #3: Guy clutching his face is clipping into the ground, guy on the left with the PPSH-41 can't hold a gun correctly (like everyone else in this image), nor can the guy in front with the SVT-40. The flag bearer looks decent, at best, but the utter crappiness of the rest of the pose negates any of this.
Picture #4: A German Machine-gunner would not place the stock of the machine gun over his shoulder; this isn't a rocket launcher, and his shots will be blasting the tops of the houses, if that (I suspect that he'd be more likely firing into the air). I'll ignore the fact that he's holding the gun with the wrong hands, and focus on the holding as is. His right hand, which is clipping into the gun, would never be holding the barrel unless he wanted to burn his hand, and he would be holding it on top of the assembly to stabilize his aim. In addition, his left hand is nowhere near the trigger, pulling an invisible bolt on the gun. Even suggesting that this is a realistic posture is fallacy, and pure bullshit, in blunt terms. Also, the background's crappily posed guy getting shot further detracts from the image's overall quality.
Picture#5: This one is marginally better, with the German's posing hidden entirely. The Soviet soldiers' posing, however, ruin the image, especially the front man and the man on the right getting shot.
Picture #6: The issues I presented with the machinegunner are even more evident here, not to mention that the guy getting shot looks like you slapped on the blood. Also, the way in which he's flying indicates that someone fired in a spot somewhere below the sandbags in the ground, which is physically impossible in this case.
Picture 7: Overall quality is Okay at best. His hold on the gun looks rather unrealistic, and the magazines are almost entirely off of the crate.
Picture 8: Grenade guy looks rather sloppily posed, and the man getting shot in the background further ruins the image.
Overall, I think that the guy getting shot in the front part of the charge is a huge problem in all of these images.
In short: Work on it. A lot.
Just set tf2 stuff off when you want to use ep2 blood splatters. Not that hard.
Anyways, the recruits and commander should be farther back and in cover. The Germans could throw a grenade over and kill all of them.
The running poses are unrealistic try to find references or just check yourself out in a running pose in a mirror and mimic that.
More Russians at the very least, troop charges don't consist of like 9 people, especially if they're charging at a machine gun.
Butt tuck.
Don't make excuses, look for ways to improve and fix it. Otherwise you'll never get better.
