Pretty new here, and to Garry's Mod. I started doing it a year back and made maybe like 10 pics, was really shitty + pc was shitty and just had too many problems. Recently got a better pc and started again. Figured I'd make an account and share, tell me what'cha think? :) Posting in order of when they were made. the simplicity of these is somehow nostalgic
I like it, welcome to FP man.
welcome to FP. for your own long term survival here, I recommend against using 'le ...' and similar typing styles in the future.
Right, thanks for the tip haha.
You really like that over the shoulder of the sniper angle don't ya. Regardless, could use some work, but not bad.
Saw the title and braced myself for the work. God damn was I pleasantly surprised. Welcome to the forum buddy.
Probably just my way of making people expect the worst so they are more pleased. ...and a little bit of not knowing what on Earth to put it so I entered the most random thing that popped up first. And it worked? Yeah I'll just stick with that for now, heh.
I loved the colors in the very first sniper pic. Good use of blur in that pic to hide the jaggy edges of the canyons. The issue I would stress though is when you tilt the camera, zoom in as well because you capture a lot of unnecessary stuff. The second pic is a good example, I would shift the camera downwards, tilt, zoom in, and capture all 3 soldiers, avoiding the flat grass textures that one usually sees when looking down on grass
You show a lot of promise. I like your usage of empty space in quite a few of these, but you really should tighten up your angles in general, focus more on the subjects rather than leaving empty space unless the mood is one of desolation or emptiness. I don't like the combination with a tilted/dutch angle, to be fair, but the empty space really gives it a fresher feeling than the standard up-close tactical dudes doing operations.
