Hey, totaly inspired by Hunta/Grumpys Ariel I decided to try and make a superlight track car. At first I thought about making a caterham R500 but I just don't really like it (you'd have to be a cock or something to drive it)
So I just started out without any refs and thought about what I'd like to have in a superlight superfast car. The concept I had in mind was, "ok, so I want to drive a bike, but I want 4 wheels". And this is what I ended up with.
weighs in at 277 props (should be around 290-300 when finished)
Weight: around 700
Top speed: 155+ mph (250ish kmh)
downforce at 150 mph: around 750
0-60(100 kmh): about 3 seconds
In raise with nothing else on SS (sax server): 350ish.

I know the video fucking sucks cause I rushed it and it came out crap, but at least its a video. Don't mind the whole aesthetic part of the suspension popping through.

It looks like it could use some tighter suspension by the the video, and maybe a little added weight- to keep it from hopping around so much.

Yeah, but I was trying to keep the weight down on it. Like minimum. Anyway I was experimenting some more with it and I added some more downforce to it and gave it a better turning angle.
O.o it turned out great. Come to New Zealand and make a baby for Grumpy.
Ahhhh yeah, saw this on sax's. Wicked awesome, got to drive it... It is rather hard to get used to, but still awesome... Also, is it thruster powered or wheel?

I tried making wheels out of a bunch of slanted plates for wayyyyyy more grip, but they kept sagging and dieing and gaying out so yeah somebody else invent that for me so we can go fast without thrusters
oh and while om in the text box can someone link me to a svn running program thing? I want those wheels that positively are not in pheonix2 files, and do not wanna download 500000Mb of phx3 and kill my satellite internet for this month
