An experiment that took about three hours to finish, prop resizing is a bitch, and so are space maps. Forgive me if it's over the top, I was having way too much fun with it.

By the way screenshot comparison = best idea ever, the difference is actually pretty depressing.

EDIT:
Does this deserve a thread? Ehh....maaaybee?
the lighting of various elements (the ship, the background and the planet) don't really match up at all. the ships are under-contrasted and the planet looks darkened compared to the stars
the stars are too busy - all the sharp bright lights make the background very distracting
overall though i like the picture. it's something different
Should of spent more time on this.
I'm not certain about the size of the dropships in comparison to the frigate. The ship seems to big.
Still, it's nice, lighting doesn't match up all that much but still good enough.

I was hoping I could bring the ship out more, but there was just too much noise/grain if it was made any brighter/darker, and the texture is too low quality at that size, it looked pretty awful.
I agree with the stars, before I added the planet it was much better, but once it's there the image is a little crowded, you're right.

I think you may be right, but I wanted it to be fucking huge and I was initially planning on having this not actually related to the Halo universe, but I couldn't find any other ships that worked with the frigate.
sexy stars and planet mate, it's always fun to make your own space
Thanks! I just wish someone would make a better looking in-game one and save me some work haha :d
but thats the fun of it, though you've done it much better than me, my space looks pretty bad compared to yours
Linky por favor?
Very nice!

Ah, I think his is much more tasteful and less exaggerated, but to each their own I suppose.
Nice picture, are the frigates textures that bad? theyre the ones from halo 3, bumps aswell.

Actually they were pretty good for being blown up 5 times or so, but seeing as how it wasn't exactly meant for a close up like this, it is lacking in resolution and detail.
Anyway i could fix it? Id love more feed back on them, besides making them more posable. Which i solved, ill try to put that in the next pack.

I don't think there's much you can do, you probably took the highest resolution texture you could find, and honestly I don't mind it that much, it's still a pretty good model. On the other hand, if you ever track down a high-detail recon helmet ehehehe :D
Oh also, the covenant cruisers have some shader problems, I don't know what I did, I even reinstalled, somehow you set it off and some texture disappears, and the entire model is blanketed in the purpble-black checkerboard of death. I would get you a screen shot but so far it hasn't been and issue and I'm already working on more poses haha, no time for dillydallying.
Odd, can you see the textures under the checkers or is it solid, if you can still see them then the detail texture is causing it. im not sure how. and even less sure how to fix it if it isnt the detail.
Also by recon helmet do you mean as a seperate prop?
I thought this would be a Dead Space pose. Not sure why.

Well, the title is very space-y, it's not too much of a stretch if you've got some Dead Space on the mind. As long as you weren't bitterly disappointed we're all good here.
Wow I really like it, it looks amazing!
