This time it's an artillery tank called the Whirlwind from Warhammer 40k. If you've played Warhammer you know that the whirlwind is a light tank that fires rockets to blow stuff up. This is the Gmod version, which has a longer range and crappier animations. The tank itself is a 1:1 scale model of the one in Warhammer. I tried to make it seem more like the one in Warhammer by giving it a satellite view of where it will esplode! Look at picture 3 for an example. Remember that it's an artillery tank; don't bother using it in tank to tank combat because you'll get owned. The only way to hit targets at long distances is to hold mouse2 for a satellite view, then pick a target and fire the rockets. Features; -1:1 scale -Unique automatic range compensator with my own custom equation -Satellite view with several zoom levels (Mouse2, Scroll) -Engine sounds -Fake lights and treads Fake back hatch that you can walk through like Jesus to get into the seat -Hologram ring to tell you how accurate the rockets will be -Limited drive speed and turret turn rate -Default turret snap position Things to know; -You can aim and fire when moving, but the camera will be shaky. -Effective range of 5000 to 30000 inches, the ring will begin to turn yellow when you will probably miss the target. You need PHX3, Wire, and GDC to make it work. If the map has a low skybox the camera and rockets may not work too well. Ideal for larger maps like Freespace. I like it! It's cute! I also like the satellite view! My only qualm is the treads' curves have too few segments, maybe 2 or 3 more would be better. But that isn't enough to make me change my vote from fantastic.
I like the aerial commander view.

If the thing is boxy as hell you should always try to give it some of your own design features, like give it some details or something. Just anything to make it look less bland. I'd have put some hatch uptop or something and maybe some shovels or some shit on the sides of it, some exhaust somewhere, maybe some scopes. I dunno, I just hate it when something that could have been good turns out mediocre. also hurf durf I cna mek pol

I like it but I couldnt use the weapons on Nodex when you let me try it out :-(
Looks pretty good. Work on astethics. Like, Make it more rounded or whatever. Especially the threads. Make them smoother.
i love it, i love it, i love it, i LOVE IT. but the trajectory on the rockets is too low, it cant shoot over things too well >:C friggin buildings
How did you do the satellite view? I've tried to make satellite spy cameras that have failed miserably, would be useful to know how you've done it.

The satview doesn't work,if I press mouse 2 I see only my self in 3rd person.

I tested it multiply times and it seems it works only on special maps, like Freespace09. Not working on gm_flatgrass
...who plays on gm_flatgrass? :v:
