It could be a mix of leaves/dust/garbage/ashes, which are pretty much at any battlefield.

There should be more men, because a group of three seems odd and there should also be a crew-chief at the ramp of the chopper. Also, Rangers or whatever these guys are wouldn't be using a Sea Knight.

Excellent posing, and the editing looks very cool too. I'll have to try that map because it seems like an extremely useful environment.
Though i do agree that there could be a couple more people there. Another suggestion could be to have some sand getting blown about under the chopper, right now it looks like all the debris is only near the soldiers.

The Chinook is [i]much[/i] bigger than the Sea Knight and is clearly distinguishable by it's engines near the rear tailplane, longer sponsons containing fuel and four landing-gear, as opposed to the Sea Knight's lack of tailplane engines, small sponsons containing rear landing-gear and only three landing-gear.
If you're gonna try and call someone out for technicalities in a post, at least make sure you're right.
