Fashionably late. Although, it has very little to do with Christmas. We still think you'll enjoy it. Don't expect anything huge, it was a just-for-fun video. Took a few days to figure out how to upload it, kept giving me YouTube errors.. Fuck you, Google Chrome.
Wait a minute: Dinosaurs?
If you're jewish, fuck off.
I lol'd quite a bit, seeing as it's the first time I've seen it XD
I lol'd quite a bit, seeing as it's the first time I've seen it XD
Funny, as you're like basically a co-producer for the movie. I must not have linked the draft copy to you XD
tone the camera shake down.
tone the camera shake down.
The only camera shake I used in the ENTIRE VIDEO was during the 10 second gunfight.. Zooms in one one, zooms in on the other, jumps in car, drives cars away, then that's the end of the shaky cam. I don't know where you're seeing any other than that. The first-person freerunning method was intentionally shaky, to capture realism. I found a camera shake tool like that one on KeeD's. I will be using that more often, as it looks better.
That scene was alittle to much shake.
I didn't like the way you switched into different audios like its playing then it changes straight away, it doesn't sound good. camera was alright but there was shaking in unecessary part at the camarea transition from 1:05-1:07 shakeaholics! (a milk shake bar) and yes the current shake camera you use doesn't look good, it wobbles more than it 'shakes' please tell which shaky camera you're gonna use. I'm curious.
There really wasn't any shaky cam in, maybe 10 seconds altogether
He uses cat-camera, or movie camera stool and sort of just spazzes out the tracks.
He uses cat-camera, or movie camera stool and sort of just spazzes out the tracks.
You are just saying that because Fumples was one of the people who made this. Stop trying to find fault in everything. The video was awesome. ________________________________ The movie was so awesome. I loved the stupidity with the added action. Loved how you guys randomly get shot in the air and land on the air plane. The fight scene on the plane was so amazing, just by how unrealistic and fucking weird it is. Very cinematic, through out the whole thing. Love the dinosaur. Loved the first person parkour style camera work. THE ENDING!!!!! Love how you just blatenly say "Black guy wins" "White guy wins". The ending when the white guy gets eaten by the dinosaur!!!!-Was not expecting that at all and it was just an awesome weird way to go out. 9/10. And if GirlScoutking bitches anymore, he truly is a prick. Amazing job you guys, Keep it up! Edit: Oh, also, Im glad you guys actually used your own voices.
Im just saying tone down on the shake camera, or stop trying to do ingame shake, do it in editing.

Really appreciate that comment. Thanks. And as to ScoutKing, I think maybe you should be a LITTLE bit less critical of the video. Less than 10 seconds were shaky camera, and you still managed to make that your only comment about the video. Did it HONESTLY ruin the entire film?
No, its just the only thing to stick out, I found the film boring.
I found it entertaining, didn't find anything too shaky though, though I have the ability to ignore most bad things in anything decent to make it seem better to myself, so I may just have done this for the camera shake, but Iunno, it didn't look shaky to me, only at times when it was supposed to, like the free running. That, and I can't be too critical, because it's damn better than any shit I've ever made/could make.
No, its just the only thing to stick out, I found the film boring.
You found it boring because we made it.
You found it boring because we made it.
exactly. hahahaha. I thought It was one of the most original, cinematic and entertaining Garry's mod films I've seen in awhile.
You found it boring because we made it.
Partly yes, but not because of you personally, I find what you guys make quite boring, as you do find mine the same. But too much shake, Better story thats my only gripe.

the idea for C&C is to help the creator, reach "perfection" Too much camera shake is not "perfection"
the idea for C&C is to help the creator, reach "perfection" Too much camera shake is not "perfection"
You're the only person who has consistently complained about shaky cam, it's part of our style, and also, one of your "partial" criticism's was that we made it
Scoutking, did you by any chance find Cloverfield enjoyable?
You're the only person who has consistently complained about shaky cam, it's part of our style, and also, one of your "partial" criticism's was that we made it
Never saw clover field to be honest. Actually this is one of my very first time to complain about the shake camera, all Im saying is, keyframe it with motion pan. Also select smooth on it, Max knows more about this.

cam tools?
(Long read but its just advice for you for newer videos.) Look fumples, your shaky camera has gotten better but still isn't that good, and dont, just dont use cloverfield as an example to shaky cam. The only time it should be used as an example is if the camera in the movie is a handheld camera and that it is obvious it's a handheld camera. and scoutking is right, and yes i know cat rom is amazing but you shouldnt just use it solely to make you videos, play around with a camera while holding it in a physgun you can get some good shots with it, and during action scenes dont have your cat track so rounded and don't just use cat, use static and some physgun shots! An action scene is rough and should have sharp cam movements, and also shouldn't be a shot circling a point, keep the action scenes camera shots within a small area and with less wide movement, and during car chases its simple stuff like a shot from the passengers car door looking at the car behind it, or a shot of the tires rounding the turn than make it more interesting. So get more creative with the camera angles. And yea i know its a pain but break down scenes and during points, stop the scene to switch camera angles and run the scene again. Like tell your self that from point a to point b the car will be swerving away from bullets, so ill get a shot down the street low looking at the car getting hit, than stop the scene, than tell your self ok at point b the car is going to ramp off the back of that flatbed and do a barrel roll and land on its roof, so ill re start the scene from a point in the beginning and get a shot from the flatbed of it launching, and then ill run the scene again and get one of it spiraling in the air and landing. Get what I'm saying? Cinematography Isn't just in a solid shot but many shots of a single scene.

I try to do it sometimes, and when I do do it, I feel proud of myself, but in the example in this video, I wasn't really planning on making anything big. I understand what you're saying, however sometimes it is just frustrating and difficult to re-do scenes over and over. We all know how it feels.
