By the way, when you try to isolate a layer, use the magnetic lasso tool and do layer via copy instead of using the eraser tool to erase the motion blur in your first pic. You can spot some irregularities in blur around the edges of the gun of the soldier.
Actually now if I remember it correctly, there's an easier way to do it explained here

it allows you to paint "white" to get the blur back and paint "black" to remove the blur.
