• What's the secret behind Colour Correction in Gmod films?

I have Sony Vegas 9 pro, which has a colour correction feature which i could use, but i'm never sure if I'm doing it correctly. Am i supposed to match the colour of the scene? EG If it's in a desert make it slightly orange/yellow? Also after a while of messing about with the colours i start to forget what looks normal so i don't know if I'm over-doing it or not. Any tips? Here's one from a WIP, is it any good?
