After 2+ days of failing with the parenting tool, I has successfully created a steam locomotive called "the flying scotsman". I was going to add sound like I always do..but failed to do so with my e2 chip. If you really care about trains, then goto the only server that you would actually find top noch, highly detailed trains. -=GWR=- Garry's Mod railworks build/train rp @: 69.197.189.102:27015 but alas:
I love the wheels and the bottom of it but the textures and colours of the rest are cartoony and the front is FUGLY. Also judging from the gaps in the boiler section, you haven't learnt how to use easy precision or precision alignment yet. Finally, turn your graphics settings up for screenshots, please.
Sad face
Also judging from the gaps in the boiler section, you haven't learnt how to use easy precision or precision alignment yet.
Funny thing about the boiler gaps, They were caused due to the many revision's. I used easy precision to attempt to line them up correct again. If a prop dare touches the boiler, it somehow spazes out even frozen.
Finally, turn your graphics settings up for screenshots, please.
Lolwat, im running at full res at full graphic settings but no AA>
do jpeg_quality 100 inconsole
look bad imo
I can see the gaps in the tubes :ohdear:
Textures are kinda boring. Pure colors never look right.
Bigger wheels get. The front looks very cubic. Put some texture into it, it looks too flat.
Is that a clock on the front?
Is that a clock on the front?
Rated clock.
Thats sexy
Looks boring. How about if you changed the mats to some more natural looking ones?
So to fix the fact that it looks kind of tacky with the debugwhite textures, try a different one. One I use for all my vehicles and anything that needs to look used or gritty is the texture for the dirty bathtub. I forgot the name of it...But unless you have funky custom textures in your Materials list, it should be down at the very bottom near the flesh texture. It's off white with dark spots. It would make your train look a little bit used and not as eye blindingly plain.
also metal_pipeset2 or pipeset02. Can't remember which. Great riveted metal.
Expected an actual flying scottish person. Was dissapointed.
make tornado
GRW server of young admins (a few so far have been 11, 12, and 13 year olds? Seriously) attempting a Flying Scotsman ... Cannot end well.
Expected an actual flying scottish person.
My great grandfather was a Navy pilot. There you go.
