What would be a good ACF gear ratio be for a 2188 "What ever wire mesures weight it" car be? I've been trying to make a race car and I got it to accually go but I cannot find a good gear ratio for it.
Best way is to tune your gearing by powerband. You want your next gear's start rpm to be at or above the start of the powerband, never below. Alternatively, tune it this way but instead of redlining the motor, shift at the end of the powerband. You're losing power at the redline, but when you shift up you will be higher in the rev range. For example, if your powerband is 3000-6000, redline 7000, when you shift your next gear should take you to 3000 rpm or above.
