this could've been so much better but oh well
Muzzleflash and gore are both awesome, but posing, even if pretty well done, doesn't seem appealing, "dynamic", also low res walls and kinda bad angle. Nick's faceposing doesn't seem right.
love the way you did the head hahaha shame your lamps don't work, would make this infinite times more awesome gore is great
It's a cool idea and it's pretty well executed. The mixtures of really low and really high resolution textures is quite odd-looking though and the angle of the pistol looks more like a shot to the back.
wow, three posts and this is already fast on its way to page two. why do i even bother
Holy fuck I love that brain splatter, but it indeed should be a little bloodier. The smoke around the muzzle flash is really nice, but it looks like there's too much of it. Nice idea using the common infected body. Posing's nice. Only complaint about the posing is the bottom of Nick's shirt. And yes, do bother. I like your shit, yo.
I like the skull fragments.
You did not just shoot me. Stop shooting me.
The editing is really nice. But the texture skew on the bottom of Nick? kinda detracts from the image. Maybe if you moved it around a bit differently I guess.
Well, I guess criticism is in order and so is bumping the good stuff, right? The wound on his forehead looks like it has been there for quite a long time and not like it's being formed right. The fucked up shirt on Nick, but that's been said already. The guy that's shooting looks a bit too stiff, like he isn't shooting, but rather just standing about. You'd think he would be a bit more twisted to the side, to prevent brains from getting in his face. Nick's shirt is low-res compared to the rest of the picture. Maybe some sharpening? Oh, and lack of casing. That's my two cents.
Casing isn't there because the slide hasn't unlocked yet, it's deliberate. The rest is right, though - especially the wound. I really tried to get the colours right, but in the end, the way I did the blood totally fucked it and made it look like rotting flesh, not a fresh wound. Oh well, now I know what not to do, I guess.
By the way, did you use a zombie body from L4D on Nick?
Yep.
Yummo
well.. it's horrible :/ but good editing
Splatter is very good. Edit in general is well executed. Apart from the lower part of Nick's shirt. And his expression is just silly.
Camera angle is dull, posing is fine, but the gun is pointing at his back, the muzzleflash indicated it is going straigh towards the camera and the blood splatter makes it look as if it was shot more upright... [editline]12:11PM[/editline] And also, this whole "Mobster executing a hostage/victim/former crew member fad was overused the first day, believe it or not. Mobsters did other things then just shoot hostages.
i was planning on doing this for weeks, not my fault everyone and their mother beat me to it because i took the time to try and do something other than spam blood brushes :colbert: inconsistencies with muzzle direction and wound have been noted, i moved the victim and stupidly forgot to adjust the guy's aim. flash was directed in the same direction of the muzzle - that's a definite because i decided to use an ingame one for once.
And also, this whole "Mobster executing a hostage/victim/former crew member fad was overused the first day, believe it or not. Mobsters did other things then just shoot hostages.
Yes, but to be honest most of those other things were arbitrary boring bullshit that if You posted a pose of it here everyone would be all "this is fucking boring" Can't have it both ways, bro.
nah dude it's good stuff discussing hits over dinner, giving some dude a good up-close look at a toilet bowl for not paying up in time, cracking some greaser skulls i have a few unedited poses of shootouts/hits i may or may not edit and post, but i might try my hand at some other stuff afterwards.
My only gripe is that you should have rotated his midsection a bit more clockwise. You can see some stretching from there to the shirt flaps hanging over his trousers. Also Nick's face seems way too saturated for the body.
