First off: How about some music to lighten the mood?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Believe it or not, before pursuing a career in adult education Dawson the Riot Officer was once a team-player for the subsidiary company RED (Reliable Excavation Demolition). For a while he actively participated in many supportive and offensive roles, ranging from leading his team into the heart of enemy territiory, providing invaluable protection from gunfire and explosions, to slaughtering ungodly amounts of BLU Engineers and sentries.* However, nothing is forever; by the time Dawson was seven months into his profession RED had slumped into hard times. To dig themselves out of their financial trench, the company had no choice but to lay off several of their employees. With the decision looming over a total of eleven grunts (with one of them being a commando of some sort), guess who was the first to go? That's right, it was that worthless commando. ...Following beind him to the unemployment line was poor Dawson. [SUB]*In fact, the BLU sentry and Engineer populations dipped so low at one point that IUCN was obligated to introduce them to the Red List (how horrifically ironic) as being vulnerable![/SUB] [Release]Dawson: "It's really nice to know that we have reclaimed our intelligence... But now we're outnumbered, outgunned, and about to get slaugtered by lord knows how many spies!" Heavy Weapons Guy: "Dah! I won't let them take us down, leetle man! Quickly, give me your shield - I have a plan that might just work..."[/Release]
I missed Dawson :)
The choice of music made this even funnier.
The choice of music made this even funnier.
I almost went with something that you'd hear from Ren and Stimpy, but changed my mind at the last second (and thank goodness for that!). Although relatively nice to listen to, the R&N music, to my belief, has already been used to death. Alternatively, I assumed playing a classical piece would be a safer bet.
i like this, i love stories told over a series of poses. keep this up.
i like this, i love stories told over a series of poses. keep this up.
Thank you very kindly for your praise. I'll see how far I can go with the 'Dawson' formula. (I'm finding GIMP to be extremely helpful at times, too - albeit I'm still learning the ropes of it.)
that must be the most awesome pose emotion I have ever seen
Eventually this will turn into a GMOD fan-made Machinima series, I just know it.
Eventually this will turn into a GMOD fan-made Machinima series, I just know it.
That would be really surprising if that were to happen someday... If it should occur, though, hopefully 'Dawson' will be able to sidestep the same fate that most semi-internet sensations share: becoming a bloody meme - and an irritating one at that. We'll just have to find out and wait, I guess. -------------------------------------- When there's time to spare during the week, I might take a whack at creating a very short comic (lasting about four or five panels). But, there are no guarantees - I still need to master the technique of creating speech bubbles (and other tools) on GIMP.
GAH, only the first picture is showing :suicide:
GAH, only the first picture is showing :suicide:
I was thinking about making another image portraying what happens next, but I'll probably get to that later in the week. Cheers.
