My simple FFT made for visualization of my tracks on Youtube.
This simple FFT is made of album art, on top of that is visualizer which is contructed of 32 samples multiplied by 300. As you coulds see these 32 samples are mirrored to make the screen looks more complete and more packed up. It all is placed on special map made by me. The map is textured using halflife/black and my custom glowfft texture which is just a $selfillum and $vertexcolor.
Later I'm going to add some particles flying all around the dancefloor, add bass-blasting speakers which will cause screen to shake on high bass moments (kicks), but most important - I will add an automated system to play songs and change them because for now I need to do all that stuff by modyfying .lua file and this is very unhandy and not professional. I may also add something on the second, upper screen which is visible from the DJ's perspective. I was also planning to add more complicated stuff like lyrics shown on the screen (they will be there because of "flags" marked on timeline). I hope you like this concept. I will add new videos about fft when I will make a bigger progress.
If you want, you may give me some suggestions.
The on screen visualizer is nice, but everything else could be improved in regards to beat visualization. I waited for the drop to arrive only to be disappointed. Make the floor colors change and flicker, add more feedback on the walls, use the ceiling etc.
I like the concept though.
