Getting duration of a STREAMING mp3

I would like to know if it is at all possible, and how it would be done.

Currently, I am streaming using HTML and Windows Media Player embedded.

Look up a way to scan ID3 tags. That's how I did it. I ran the song through the php and had it send to the server with the length.

As someone who doesn't know the slightest thing about PHP, can you explain how to get the value and transfer it into something readable by lua?
