when i put the mods in my garrys mod/garrys mod folder they don't appear in my game.... am i suppossed to pre extract and then put them in their respecting folders? I know its a really noobish question i just need some help
What kind of mods? Like skins/maps/sweps?
garrysmod/garrysmod/gamemodes if you mean a gamemode when you say "mod."
try garrysmod/garrysmod/addons
that it probably what you want.
if not try garrysmod/garrysmod/maps

yeah like sweps and maps where do i put them
Well, find the folder that has the SWEP name, and contains a few folders and an "info.txt"
Then put that into garrysmod/garrysmod/addons
