Hello sirs and madams, I have come here to present to you an idea of mine for a weapon in gmod to be created. The weapon in question is a weapon that allows the owner of it to act like a specter, or ghost if you will. The Primary fire scares the victim and hurts them. The Secondary fire scares the victim without doing them harm. The reload function brings up a menu that configures the functions for the primary fire and the secondary fire, and the settings for those current functions. Primary Fire options: Levitate: Allows you to levitate an object in the air and then force them at the point you are looking at (settings change force of throw and toggable levitation [allows you to select more than one object to levitate then throw them all at once] and toggling just releasing the objects instead of throwing them). Reanimate: Turns zombie and headcrab corpses and ragdolls into "living" beings again (this is optional scince this may be outside the limits of lua). Summon: Same as reainimate except It does not need a corpse. (settings choose which zombie/headcrab it is) Punch: Nightmare House 2 style (Settings change force of punch) Ignite: Same as the normal ignite tool except that you can set fire to parts of the floor and walls. Secondary Fire options: Move: Set an object or multiple objects to teleport to a different designated spot when the player isnt looking (Settings change if there is a sound effect when this happens/ what sound effect it is). Voices: Plays a sound effect from the prop/area you are pointing at (settings changes sound effect and the volume its played as [a list of theses sound effects will be near the end of the post, and will work for the move function also][all sound effects should fade out near the end]). Possesion (Object): Turns an object into a thing simmilar to the "Freindly Gnome" or "Harmless Companion Cube" except it will not harm the victim. The first person who comes close to the object who isnt weilding this weapon is its target (settings change how long the object is possesed and if shooting it or somthing similar starts/ stops the possesion). Possesion (Ragdoll): Allows you to controll a ragdoll so it can stand, walk, or run (settings change if your are in first person veiw and just controlling one ragdoll, or if your still controlling from your veiw, and controlling multiple ragdolls at once). Illusion: Spawns an npc that will travel from one position to another then promptly dissapear once it reaches its destination. The npc will completely ignore everything (settings changes the npc, if it is semi-transparent or not, and its/their speed). Other settings: Toggle Invisibility: Toggles if the player is invisible. Toggle Shadow: Toggles if the player has a shadow (Only works when Invisiblility is on) Toggle Phasing: Toggles if you phase through objects or not Other Notes: This weapon should be ADMIN only. This weapon should make your flashlight turn to nightvision. Sound effects list: crying_loop1 playground_memory town_child_scream1 town_moan1 town_muffled_cry1 town_zombie_call1 town_scared_sob2 town_scared_sob1 town_scared_breathing2 town_scared_breathing1 warningbell1 machine1_hit1 machine1_hit2 citadel_ambient_scream_loop1 citadel_ambient_voices1 fz_alert_far1 water_growl5 radio1 (Feel free to add extra sound effects that you find scary) Thank you for reading this post, if you need any more specifics, feel free to ask, and I hope one of you brilliant coders will want to make this. EDIT: Ignore the other thread with the same title, Facepunch double posted.
That sounds like a gamemode I would play!
Well at least I got positive feedback, but is anyone willing to make it? Please?
I'm in the middle of trying to create a reanimation SWEP, which gets a ragdoll's model and then respawns an NPC based on it. I could give that to you (if it works).

Anyone else? No? Is it that hard or am I being ignored? I tried to make it as easy as possible by listing the sounds I needed.
Final shameless bump for one last hope.
It is possible, but lots of work (not hard, just time). No one wants to do it.
Ah. Ok then.
I'm sorry. It could be a good first project if you wanted to learn lua, though.
