Hey guys I was wondering if any of would possibly be willing to teach me LUA scripting or know of someone that could, or know of lessons that you could take online or how to's. Its hard to learn coding when you do not know what your looking for. I have a background in qbasic, c++ and java languages and basic understanding of coding.

Running through the starter tutorial series here: 'http://wiki.garrysmod.com/?title=Lua_Tutorial_Series' is helpful. Then just do whatever tutorial interests you most from there.

I can follow a tutorial easily and have as well, but if there is not teacher that would give a guideline or someone who can notice when something is wrong then is just misinformation and blind luck.

I don't understand why you think you can offer advice on learning lua when you don't know it your self
