I decided that there needed to be a global template for asking questions on this forum. If anyone at all would like to contribute, please post ahead.
What is your problem: What type is your problem (coding, models/materials, addon mods, gamemode, SWEP, Entity): Is your code serverside, clientside, or shared: How experienced are you at GLua (new, fair, very): Did you receive an error: If yes, what was the entire contents of this error: If yes, what color was this error (blue, yellow, red): Post the source of your error (in lua tags):
Example: What is your problem: I don't know how to draw a square on the screen. What type is your problem (coding, models/materials, addon mods): coding Is your code serverside, clientside, or shared: clientside How experienced are you at GLua (new, fair, very): new Did you receive an error: N/A If yes, what was the entire contents of this error: N/A If yes, what color was this error (blue, yellow, red): N/A Post the source of your error (in lua tags): N/A
I used that :v:
Not to blow my own horn, but I think the template worked pretty nice for you. It helped me understand your problem better
You might add if it's related to a SWEP, Gamemode, SENT, or something else.
Added.
My questions still never get answered :P, the past four questions were very informative... and the last one followed your format... still no responses. Oh wells :P
It's probably because tmysql help is hard to come by in a Lua scripting section because only a few of us know MySQL and Lua.
Well then I guess I feel special that I know it somewhat. :P EDIT: you should also add like, the intention of the code.. If you know what i mean. Errr... the goal your trying to achieve by fixing this. (So they can help you if they know a more eficient way)
I don't think people should have to stick to a strict template when asking questions, as long as they get all the information across it's fine.
I think it's intended for those who think they could use one.
I don't think people should have to stick to a strict template when asking questions, as long as they get all the information across it's fine.
Well of course they can just write what their asking, however I guess it's meant as more of a way to steer future people into posting what is needed ETC.
Thread titles should also be descriptive. I don't want to open a thread titled:
SHARED.LUA?!?!? OMG help

Thread titles should also be descriptive. I don't want to open a thread titled:
SHARED.LUA?!?!? OMG help

Why he might need help with his shared.lua maybe?
he meant like this title:
SHARED.LUA HELP!!! VIA darkrp
That should be like
shared.lua help. using DarkRp
