Server Custom Prop List?

I've been looking for a way to edit the prop list in order to remove all of my server's blacklisted props.
I tried deleteing the files from [garrysmod/settings/spawnlist/default] but had no luck; when I restarted loaded back into the server the list hadn't changed.
Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You can hide spawnmenu tab and create a custom spawn tab with all the props

I appreciate the useful suggestion! Maybe I'm not explaining myself very well. I want to edit the [b] prop list [/b].

I think that is only on the client, but im not 100% sure.

It's not only the client. That was a different server I joined.

So what i think they did was hide all the prop categories and create their own, i'm going to test this on a dev server i have access to and give you the script if it works.
