I mean I've already tried the other Flare Guns out there including the one from the HL2 Beta Pack. Although it serves its purpose as a last ditch weapon, it really behaves poorly in being a- er, Flare Gun... (The one in the pack travels far less than a crate thrown with the Gravity Gun) What I had in mind would be something akin to Semi-Realistic Flare Guns which travel far in the air, and emit smoke and light. An example of this can be found in the Xbox 360 game, Alan Wake. The Flare Gun would possibly light enemies, provide light (similar to the Glowsticks), and can be a signalling weapon (useful for RP?). Anyway, I really hope any one can provide such a SWEP.
I'm not sure many sky boxes would allow that..
Still. I'm pretty sure you can take an existing flaregun and set it to fly further.
