Is it possible for a server to host multiple maps at a single time so that players can travel from one "zone" (map) to another by using LUA? Other than the only other way I can think of for this to work, which is buy multiple servers, sync them all, link them all to a database to keep track of players position etc.
I ask because I am working on a map for a game mode I and a few friends are making and the map has 5 zones and basically, I want to split each zone into its own map to keep compile times and lag down.
No, you'd need multiple servers
Just use fast compiling when testing it, then when you think you got the final product just go AFK and do something else. I'm sure it wont take more then 10 minutes.
