DarkRP - Mayoral Things [Rewards] - Developers

[B]Check the bottom of the thread for the rewards[/B] Hello, I am trying to create a very different version of DarkRP, than most generic servers. I do not want some Generic, RDMish, crappy RP server, that has nothing to be different from all the others. I want one where guns are not promoted, nor are needed for RP. 1. One of the things I need is more options for the Mayor. Now, I have seen many PERP, OCRP, even DarkRPs have an economy system. It goes like this: - There is a bar at the top, it symbolizes your economy - The mayor gets random events, that require him to choose between options, they will affect the economy - If the economy is negative, everyone's paychecks are reduced, if it is good, they are increased. - People can donate to State Treasury, so the mayor can use options that use money, but do not have a bad impact on the economy. I would like a "multi-election" thing. In DarkRP's current system, one signs up for mayor and you can vote yes/no. I find this sort of silly, so I would like something like this - Every X Minutes the system checks if anyone is using "TEAM_CANDIDATE" and if so, it check is anyone is "TEAM_MAYOR", if no, it starts a vote with all the people who are candidates. Like this Presidential vote: John Doe Jane Doe Average Joe Average Jane It can be done another way, just so it is done. This would really make the server better for all of us. 3. Possibly an ability for the mayor to set paychecks, like in some old versions of DarkRP? Now, if you manage to do at least 2 of these, I will gift you a Steam game, under 10 Euros. If you do all three, I will buy you a game, under 20 Euros. Also, if you want to, you will be promoted to admin in my server, when it goes up. NOTE: I do not have time to Learn LUA. Please do not link me guides or tutorials in LUA, I do not have enough time to learn a whole new language. I understand you mean well, but please refrain from doing so. Thanks for reading. PS. And all of a sudden anyone who likes to buy nice things with money is a dirty greedy capitalist. Nutnuts, do you realize what you are doing right now is a system of capitalism? You want a service performed so you are paying to have it done? That is capitalism. You always seem to find some way to derail your own threads to something of a personal vendetta against all things Western. And I can tell you now, it is not helping your cause. Now, on topic: I can understand why you would want these things on your server. It died, and you're hoping a change as drastic as these may get people in the server. Well to be honest, although these are big things, they are more of functionality based changes rather than fun changes. It would still be beneficial to actually add things to do, or make people actually have to work for a paycheck, rather than have money magically teleported into their wallet for doing nothing. That is one of the biggest issues with DarkRP, and one of the reasons that it would be smarter to do all this in a different RP script. But I digress, I don't have the skills or time to, and I believe many of the people here feel the same way. Good scripters are busy with personal jobs, and the new/medicore aren't skilled enough to help. You are honestly better off spending 2 hours learning basic GLua and doing it yourself.

I ain't afraid to lose a few bucks if it means a good server. Also, this is just part of the package, I have a lot of changes coming and a lot of community suggestions accepted, so I can make the server better. I will make a server that people like. So essentially none of the people who do like your server, whom are very few apparently, are facepunchers, and indeed, pretty much everyone here on facepunch who even know of you hates your guts, and by extension, your server. Why are you still around again?

It look's horrible and i have been on there and its laggy as shit and the admins abuse to the max and the server never has players ... it NEVER had players and i have seen your past posts 90% of facepunch hates your server and you keep saying your server is "popular, was a massive success, people love it" you are making yourself look stupid. Please stop hosting a server / community and delete your facepunch account before this get's any wose. Your server SUCKS.

My server is unique, it is the only serious DarkRP ever made. Its not laggy at all, the admins don't abuse and it had a LOT of players. In fact, I extended the slots from 14 to 20, because it was constantly full. It was very popular and a smashing success. I will soon make a 2.0 of it, along with some other servers. Also working on a TTT. Our community will keep on growing, thank you very much.
