A long, long time ago in the dark ages of January, I began a project based around scripting every weapon into GMOD. I was using the default weapon base at first, and it worked decent enough. I scripted in 3 guns before hitting several bugs. Something in one of the codes had messed it up good. So I restarted with a different weapon base, but I had an infuriating time getting it to work. Eventually I tried Teta-bonita's realistic weapon base. It worked perfectly, except for one fatal flaw:
It didn't allow my to do that "holster" affect while sprinting.
So I gave up on the project. Now, after going back to LUA again, I wanted to try and re-do these SWEPS and finish them. I have all the models and sounds, but now I need a good SWEP base. So here's what I'm looking for:
1. A base that allows ironsights (that should work for any base)
2. A base that uses custom ammo
3. A base with a sprinting effect in which you lower your weapon and are unable to use it until you stop sprinting
4. Preferably have working NPC weapons
5. Preferably realistic bullet penetration
and the big one:
6. It's easier for a LUA beginner to script on.
So, if there is a base out there that would work, please send me a link. It's much appreciated, and this is my first real scripting project.
