I know this is a really "noobie" question but I am just starting out with Lua and want to buy a book on it. Any suggestions for the book? But mostly what im asking is if I get a lua book for World of Warcraft, is it the same? Like, can I test it out on Garrys mod or it wont work?

well, Roblox and Garrysmod both use lua. but you cant make the derma things in Roblox like you can in gmod. so no. becuse garrysmod uses more things in lua that WoW probly doesnt work. if they look totaly diffrent, why would you think they use the same thing? if they did. Garrysmod and WoW would look omfg smiller.

Not really..think about all these MMORPG gamemode coming out (none really have yet) different models used, a lot would be different skills stuff like that..graphics..
syntax would be the same but all the functions and hooks would be different.
Use pil instead. Along with the wiki, and reading other people's code.
