So, it's like, when you die, you're in first person, you fall to the side, and your hand appears, exactly like Mirror's Edge. I can't really describe it so watch a video of Mirror's Edge and when somebody dies.

When she got shot, or she died, she fell over sideways and you could see her hand, OR she fell forward and you could still see her hand.
Just Mirror's edge style death. You die, you're in firstperson, your camera either falls forward or sideways, and you see your hand.
