Out of game chat client

I really need this right now. For whatever fucked up reason my gmod doesn't want to join my own server without crashing. So I'm using console "say" commands to talk to people in game and get there opinions, etc. But it's very annoying wading through all the crap the console adds.

Is there a chat client that will filter console and just show timestamp - persons name - what they said?

There is something in HLSW that picks up chat commands then every time it sees something in the chat, it activates. It must use something in the RCon protocol.
