Hey guys, I just reinstalled gmod, to have a clean start. Now I was searching for the sandbox gamemode in garrysmod/garrysmod/gamemodes/ but there is just one text file with nothing in it. Is this folder now for custom gamemodes, and can't we acces the sandbox gamemode anymore?
I do have it, have you launched gmod to see if it creates it? And not propably the right category where this thread would belong to.
Yes, I started up the sandbox gamemode. But nothing appeared, and i'm sorry for posting it in the wrong section, if I did.
The sandbox gamemode no longer appears there, to look through it there are multiple ways, one of them being install gcf scape and look through the garrysmod.gcf the sandbox gamemode will be In gamemodes/sandbox.
You can also use this website for fast access.
It's in the gcf file. Use GCFScape to open it.
I opened it with GCFScape, but should I extract it to my gamemodes folder, (Which I did, but it didn't run that sandbox, but the one out of the GCF), or upload my files into the GCF, somehow?
You can't change the content of the gcf. You could try extracting it to the gamemodes folder but it's possible that gmod will load the files from the gcf instead of your modified files.
If you are making your own gamemode just put it in the normal gamemode folder(not in the gcf). But otherwise don't extract the sandbox gamemode that would be redundant. Also you can't add things to a gcf.
