Ok guys, this workshopper will let you upload addons to live version of Garry's Mod.
Be aware that a few things may have changed since you last tested your addon on the GMod 13 beta - so it might be throwing errors. So after you upload be sure to test it!
I'll be deleting addons that are throwing a lot of errors

Requirements:
* Garry's Mod
* Windows Vista or higher
Enjoy!
Nice!
Thanks for fixing the support for ttf's.
Any chance we can get multiple authors any time soon?
It's something that has been bought up with Valve - but nothing to announce yet.
Any chance of getting a stand alone GMA packer (so we don't have to upload our private addons to the public)
-snip- must have been connection issues
Too bad it won't allow us to override physgun textures.
I seem not able to upload anything to workshop. The program keeps telling 'Fetching Addons..' and when I try to upload anything it just returns to main screen and doesn't do anything.
Steam is having connecting issues right now
How does one download it? I need instructions.
Can't upload. Add content "[..]" button doesn't work on XP
Odd, the same button for adding 512px icon actually does work.

Same for me.

Why everything needs vista or higher windows? in start Windows XP SP 3 users had problems with loading , and now when they want to publish some good files to workshop they have another problem. i can't change my windows because of windows 7 cpu and ram usage.

No way to update this software for Windows XP SP 3 ?
because your OS is 10 years old
But this 10 years old OS is seriously better than 7 , i can say 10 games that won't run in 7.
Can some nice moderator of facepunch do a XP friendly version for me? (Decompile etc and compile again)
I am drunk right now btw. sry for grammar mistakes.

No, it's not, but I just have too wait longer to upload my stuff. New PC comes soon, though.

I agree with Andy. I am happy using XP, there is nothing wrong with it, and no reason for me to get a new OS because a developper can't take the time to compile a program for another platform.
It's unfair for garry to have to pass on adding functionality to his shit because you're with an OS that is 10 years old.
Microsoft is dropping support for the damn thing in 2 years, it's time to move on.

Hell, it's closer to 1 year now

You are agreeing with me, but you didn't get my point correctly.
I didn't say there is no reason for me to buy a new OS. I would love to use Win 7 or something and new PC is coming soon.
But I don't understand why Garry does support Gmod to keep running on XP, but not the puplisher for workshop. He could just support XP for both, since he set up a new XP machine for himself to test Gmod out. I don't think it would be that difficult and would only take a few minutes or shorter.
(The fact is that Gmod came out years ago, too, but I don't want to say that too loud. :v:)
[editline]:[/editline]
+ I don't think there will be a new version of the workshop puplisher anytime soon, because there is not much going on at a short time that he had to change something. Remember v0.7? It took months to v1 and the only thing what changes was the switch to official Gmod. So basically he just had to do what he would had to do to make puplisher work on XP once and never again.. for the time being.

I didn't add an "if windows xp then fail" to it. I'm using features that aren't available in Windows XP. Upgrade your OS.
Hello all,
I'm new here on the Facpunch forums and now i have some problems with one Addon from WorkShop.
All time when the download is complete, the Garry's Mod crash (hl2.exe error) .
There is someway to stop this download ?? I tried to unstall the game 2 times, deleted the addons folder, but nothing. The game keeps downoading the addons even when it's crash.
The name of the addon is : SCARS Basic.
Thank you for read. Have nice day.
• Folder browser is now vista style (and remembers the last folder you selected)
The vista folder system,.. I might add. Why didn't you let the folder system be the way it was back in version 0.6? It worked on every Windows OS and everyone was happy.
I believe remembering the last folder you selected can be done in old folder system, too
• Changed compression to LZMA
And I doubt that the LZMA compression won't work on XP, could be wrong though.
You do know that vista added more features to programs than just the ability to remember your last folder. If any of the API additions listed here are used in the program then getting it to run in XP would be impossible.

See, it works without that.

Of course it did, but does workshopper really have ie. need these features to upload addons? Workshopper is just a small program to upload our stuff into steam workshop. It doesn't need any big features. What do you want? A game where you have to shoot the files you want to get uploaded?
The ability to remember the last folder is possible even on XP... that's enough.
[editline]27th October 2012[/editline]
Gran PC just commited, that it works without vista API thingy on XP.
